Sony's PlayStation 3 games are encoded onto the Blu-Ray disc media format, which can hold six times as much data as traditional DVDs. This increase in capacity, combined with the awesome power of its processor and graphics card, promises mind-blowing games once developers have learned how to fully harness the new console's power. The PS3 will also support CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD+R formats.

In addition, PlayStation 3 system software update version 2.20 and up includes BD Live support. With this you can now play discs that support Blu-ray Disc Profile 2.0 (BD-LIVE) and you can also connect to the Internet while playing discs that support this format so that you can obtain additional features. Features that are available vary depending on the software in use.

Sensational Controller
New gamers intuitively move the controller while playing, even though that movement has traditionally had no relation to what's going on in the game. Sony has picked up on this tendency and is using it to bring a new level of control to the PS3. Inside the controller is a high-precision sixaxis sensing system that accurately detects fine movements in pitch, roll, and yaw, as well as three dimensions of movement. This means that future PS3 games will be controlled by the movements of your hands rather than just your thumbs. For example, you might be able to steer a car by holding the controller like a steering wheel.

While the PS3 controller looks much like its Dual Shock predecessors, it will lack the force-feedback vibration since that would only interfere with the sensing system. Game Environments
Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. Gameplay
Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centered on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.

Multiplayer
Give Niko a rest and create your own multiplayer "hero." GTA has added multiplayer modes allowing you to take your creation out to play online in competitive, co-op, and free form modes. Competitive mode has you fighting against the cops, jacking cars, or racing to finish odd jobs. Co-op challenges you and your friends with various tasks including Hangman's NOOSE where you are responsible for escorting a wanted kingpin to a safe extraction point. Freeform lets you and 15 others lose on Liberty City. Use this mode to hit up the bar and play virtual darts versus each other or head out to the streets and set up your own drag races. สะพานโกลเดนเกต เป็นสะพานแขวนที่มีความยาวมากที่สุดในโลก ทอดข้ามอ่าวทางตอนเหนือ ของเมืองซานฟรานซิสโก สร้างเป็นแบบโครงแขวน ตัวสะพานแขวนประกอบด้วยหอคอยเหล็กสองข้างข้างละ 215 เมตร ( 746 ฟุต) ใช้ ลวดเคเบิลที่โยงทอดเป็นตัวดึงน้ำหนักสะพานมีขนาด เส้นผ่าศูนย์กลาง 36 นิ้ว ข้างละ 2 เส้น รวม 4 เส้น ยาว 107,000 ไมล์ และยังมีเส้นลวดเล็ก ยึดสายโยงอีกรวม 27,572 เส้น มีช่วงกลางระหว่างตอม่อยาว 1.26 กิโลเมตร ส่วนริม 2 ฟาก ยาวข้างละ 34 เมตร รวมยาวทั้งหมดประมาณ 7 กิโลเมตร มีส่วนกว้าง 27 เมตร เป็นสะพานแบบสะพานแขวนขนาดใหญ่และยาวมากที่สุดสะพานแรกในยุคนั้น จนเป็นที่น่ามหัศจรรย์ของผู้ผ่านไปมาและพบเห็นยิ่งนัก และเป็นแบบอย่างในการออกแบบสร้างสะพานแขวนแบบใหญ่และยาวมากขึ้นไปอีกในโอกาสต่อๆ มา



6.ตึกเอ็มไพร์สเตต สถานที่ตั้ง บนเกาะแมนฮัตตัน เมืองนิวยอร์ค สหรัฐอเมริกา ปัจจุบัน สามารถเข้าเยี่ยมชมได้
ตึกเอ็มไพร์สเตต ใช้อิฐในการสร้าง 10 ล้านก้อน สูง 375 เมตร และลึกลงไปใต้ดิน จากระดับถนนอีก 10 เมตร แบ่งเป็น 102 ชั้น บนยอดสุดมีโดมสูงขึ้นไปอีก 60 เมตร จากชั้นล่างถึงชั้นที่ 86 มีโครงเหล็กเสริมอย่างดี ชนิดไม่ขึ้นสนิม คิดเป็นน้ำหนัก 730 ตัน มีหน้าต่างทั้งหมด 6,500 บาน จุคนได้ 80,000 กว่าคน รับประกัน 6,000 ปี มีบริษัทใช้เป็น ที่เปิดทำการ 600 กว่าบริษัท ใช้ลิฟท์ขึ้นลง 65 เครื่อง เริ่มสร้างเมื่อ 1 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2472 (ค.ศ.1929) สร้างเสร็จเมื่อ 1 พฤษภาคม พ.ศ. 2480 (ค.ศ. 1937)




7.เขื่อนยักษ์ฮูเวอร์ สถานที่ตั้ง ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ปัจจุบัน สามารถเข้าเยี่ยมชมได้
เขื่อนฮูเวอร์ หรือ ทำนบโบลเดอร์ เป็นเขื่อนที่สร้างขึ้นเพื่อกั้นแม่น้ำโคโลราโดไว้ตลอดปี เพื่อป้องกันอุทกภัยในฤดูหนาว เพื่อการชลประทานในเขตนั้น สงวนพันธ์ปลา และเพื่อผลิตพลังไฟฟ้าอีกด้วย
ตัวเขื่อนฮูเวอร์ เป็นคอนกรีตเสริมเหล็กยาว ตัวทำนบสูง 218 เมตร ฐานข้างล่างกว้าง 198 เมตร สันทำนบข้างบนกว้าง 13.5 เมตร ยาว 385 เมตร ใช้คอนกรีต เฉพาะสร้างตัวทำนบ 3,250,000 ลูกบาศก์หลา และส่วนอื่น ๆ อีก 4,400,000 ลูกบาศก์หลา มีเครื่องกำเนิดไฟฟ้า จากน้ำตก 17 เครื่อง ให้กำลังไฟฟ้า 1,835,000 กิโลวัตต์ เมื่อจะก่อสร้าง ใช้เวลาสำรวจถึง 20 ปี ตั้งแต่ พ.ศ. 2447-2467 (ค.ศ. 1904-1924) เริ่มสร้างเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2472 (ค.ศ.1929) เสร็จเมื่อ 1 มีนาคม พ.ศ. 2479 (ค.ศ. 1936) เมื่อปิดกั้นเขื่อนเต็มที่แล้ว เหนือเขื่อนขึ้นไปเกิดเป็นทะเลสาบยาวตามตามลำแม่น้ำถึง 115 ไมล์ มีบริเวณทั้งหมด 225 ตารางไมล์ เรียกชื่อทะเลสาบนี้ว่า ทะเลสาบมี๊ด ตามชื่อของมิสเตอร์มี๊ด อธิบดีกรมการฟื้นฟูที่ดินของ สหรัฐอเมริกาสมัยนั้น และเขื่อนฮูเวอร์ ก็ตั้งชื่อตามนามของ ประธานาธิบดีฮูเวอร์ ผู้ลงนามใน พ.ร.บ. โบลเดอร์ แคนยอน ให้สร้างเขื่อนนี้ได้
ความจริงเขื่อนที่มีขนาดใหญ่โตกว่าเขื่อนฮูเวอร์ก็มีอยู่แต่โดยทั่วไปยกย่องให้เขื่อนฮูเวอร์เป็นสิ่งก่อสร้าง อันน่ามหัศจรรย์ชิ้นแรกที่เอาชนะธรรมชาติอันร้ายแรงของน้ำท่วม และการกักเก็บน้ำให้เกิดเป็นทะเลสาบขึ้นมาได้ ซึ่งไม่เคยมีใครสร้างสำเร็จใหญ่โตมหึมาเช่นนี้มาก่อน
